My bunny is almost three months old ( will be on the 19th of April). First time bunny owner few questions.

        – I have a harness and would like to take him outside but not sure if he’s still too young. Very adventurous and not shy in the slightest.

        – When can I start feeding him treats and veggies? and what kind in particular?

-When should I get him neutered ?

        – Any advice on clicker training? He’s doing well with the litter box etc.

would like to get treats soon for training but not wanting to give them to him when he’s still too young.

When should his first vet appt be?

        thanks a lot !

        teresa

You can start slowly with treats and veggies now – read this link about veggies:

          http://rabbit.org/suggested-vegetables-and-fruits-for-a-rabbit-diet/

Neutered – when his testicles drop around 3.5 to 4 months.

I would do a vet appointment as soon as possible to have a well rabbit check and get to know the vet and ask about the neuter and other questions you might have for the vet.

Harnesses – I cannot recommend them myself.

I got mine neutered at 5 1/2 months old some vets wont do it till 6 months because the younger they are the more a risk you have of him not waking up. :/
I have never tried harnesses but i have heard they are NOT safe and I would personally not take my rabbit outside because i am a worrier and i don’t want him getting a disease or something. I have never done clicker training so i have no idea. when you get your rabbit your rabbit chooses one corner to go pee so just put the litter box in that corner mine was litter trained in five days. And I buy these carrot munchies and you can get a pack of five at walmart for $5 and they are from wild harvest But my rabbits favorite treat is bananas when he see one he goes nutty And i got my rabbit checked up when he was 3 1/2 months old and they gave me a free on before the neuter

I haven’t had a problem with a harness honestly. Lulu is used to having it on now.

You can introduce veggies around 12 weeks and I would start with romaine lettuce.

As far as treats I think one of the best an inexpensive treats would be craisen’s aka “bunny crack”.

Yeah I started with romaine too That is also his favorite veggie. But on the treats where I live they are $5 for a VERY tiny pack is that normal and can they have raisins?? Because I have a ton of those

My Lola loves craisins. Will do just about anything to get one! (except walk on the new vinyl flooring in the dining room, apparently not even a craisin is worth that!)

Oh yeah raisins are also included in the “bunny crack” category
