**Edit: See post #10. The comb will be available in the BinkyBunny store. Stay tuned!**

Looks like the Hairbuster comb may be available again.
        Bunnygear expecting shipment this month.

For anyone who purchased from them previously, was the comb they supplied good for average fur? A couple of my guys have fur that lays down and is near 1 inch long. And 2 have more shorter fur. I think it’s called roll back fur?? Sort of like Rex but not as dense or plush .

          Hi, JG,
I am “cautiously optimistic” about this. I thought I’d heard that they’d gone out of business and were not making any more. My concern is that this is their old website, and the email/phone/order form is no longer valid. Have you contacted them for an order successfully?

The thing I really hate about the internet is that nothing ever goes away once it’s on it. (Kind of too bad it didn’t exist for the last few centuries. Imagine being able to find websites from the 1800s – sorry. getting silly here.)

I still have mine. I think you are supposed to be able to slide the rubber things up or down with effort, and that helps with different lengths of hair. Here’s hoping they are back in business. Keep us posted!

So this is the hairbuster? They have sold them at my rabbit recue for years and I have never picked it up, I didn’t know this was them! O_o

Cannot wait for the hairbuster!  Sounds like something for the BB store.

JackRabbit, the store did have the Hairbuster and it was very popular.
However, the original company went out of business. The Hairbuster dot com site is obsolete. From what I can tell on the bunnygear site, theyve got some manufactured again. I don’t know if they had to buy the patent to do this…

RP, the info on bunnygear has been updated even since i first posted, so i think they are in business. They’ve been changing the date they’re expecting the combs due to delays in production in China. In not certain, but I think bunnygear may have distributed for Hairbuster before but now they’re ordering direct from the manufacturers??
I haven’t put in an order myself… I’m debating whether to or not. The shipping cost per comb to Aus adds up and not having used the combs before, I’m in 2 minds about ordering a bunch.

I didn’t know the sleeve was adjustable. That makes sense. Good to know!

@LEL the original company was known as Hairbuster and had different size combs. Bunnygear sold them and the BB store had a bunch of discounted ones also.

Edit to add: I hope everything is legit and the combs are same as the originals.

I picked one up at my rabbit rescue today. I was doubtful, but it really does work. For both long and short hair.

Ooh great LEL! Is this one from older stock your Rescue had?

I don’t know, I forgot to ask. I suppose they could have ordered more, but I don’t know. Sorry.

I think I misunderstood your earlier question. Were you asking if bunnygear was affiliated with your Rescue?

They are definitely back and we will be getting more in soon. (hopefully a couple of weeks) Bunny Gear is distributing them to us, so if you could wait and buy from BinkyBunny, it would sure help support our site! I will let you all know when it’s available.

OH, and they are the same comb.  Bunny Gear was able to make a deal with the original patent owner and their supplier.  I checked it out, it’s all legit.

Have been considering getting it after someone mentioned Bunny gear had it again.  I will wait for BB store to restock now!

It wasn’t really a question. I was just remarking that I had heard of this brush but I didn’t know this was the one my rabbit rescue sells.

                                Great BB!
I’ve put a note in my original post.

update! We are still waiting, but based on the info I have received, we are looking at mid-late may. So a few more weeks — hold tight molters!

OKAY — IT’S BACK FINALLY! Geesh it’s been a long road to get this back in stock! Thanks to BunnyGear for becoming the distributor! You can now get them in the BinkyBunny store. http://store.binkybunny.com/hairbuster-p116.aspx.   Note, the store defaults to Fedex Ground as that normally is the cheapest shipping for larger orders (and most orders are larger so people get more bang for their shipping buck), but if you are only ordering a few items, you can change the shipping option while you are adding things to your cart by clicking on “Edit Taxes and Shipping” and change it to USPS — you will also have a chance to choose your shipping options at check out as well.  When an order is under 7 pounds, a few options are given (unless you are in Canada). Over 7lbs, it just defaults to the cheapest shipping option.

                                      THANK GOODNESS!

We lost ours in our condo explosion last year (we had to throw everything away with all of the soot laying on everything!) and they were completely gone no matter how hard I tried to search! It was my favorite bunny comb EVERRRR! This is soooo exciting to here! It’s the only comb I’ve ever found to work on my Tans fur!

Have any of you tried it on a Rex? Did it work well?
