        Hi Everyone,

Three weeks ago I adopted a short nosed Himalayan male (Rory)  and his bondmate (Amy) to bond to my bunny (George). Rory makes all sorts of nasal noises. He snuffles when he grooms and binkys. When he sleeps he snores like a motor. He’s a healthy weight, he doesn’t sneeze and doesn’t have any discharge. He appears to feel great. I’m 99% sure nothing’s wrong with him. But I’m still worried about him. Has anyone had a bun like Snory Rory before?

        Thank you for your thoughts,

        Bullmoose

My boy Lionel is like this too. It may be chronic, but you really need to go to the vet and see what you can do to treat it.

My former rabbit, Nova (pictured) was a pretty loud sleeper. Just like dogs that have the pushed in noses, it can sometimes make them quite loud. However, since you have only had him for 3 weeks, a vet order should be in check anyway just to make sure he is in good health. Nova’s snoring did get worse if she needed a tooth float (uh… where they grind down the points on the molars, not the front ones), or if she had a cold.

Thanks guys. That’s super reassuring. I’ll definitely bring it up to the vet when they go. I’m just waiting for the rescue to forward their old vet records. Not gonna lie, I was really hoping there were other bunnies who snored (aside from just not wanting Rory to be sick) that snoring is insanely cute.
