The vet said he has a minor uri. She gave me antibiotics. She also gave me ear cleaner called Skinguard. I know she’s a professional and wouldn’t have given it to me if she didn’t think it’d be safe but what do you guys think?

She also did a test for pasterulla (sp). Tested him for eat mites (neg!)

She said his heart sounded strong and lungs a little iffy but not rattling. Antibiotics will help that. Good temperature (anally, poor guy)

She checked his teeth and said the ones on the side were a little pointy but nothing too bad. She recommended a tooth grinding when he gets  neutered.  Over all (besides the 40 min wait) I’d say it went well.

What do you guys think? Thanks!

          Sounds like it went well.
The SkinGuard- I think that is a brand name, what is the drug name?
Glad you could get him to the vets!

Ok, I think that is fine.
Do you know why she gave you this? Are his ears dirty?
              How is it used?

What is the reason she gave him the ear cleaner? Are his ears very dirty?

Dealing with a chronic ear infection bunny, my vet and I tend to agree that ear cleaners should only be used when absolutely necessary. Bindi seemed to get more frequent infections when I was cleaning them regularly. Especially for a lop, all that moisture just sits in the ear and is a breeding ground for bacteria.

Not saying don’t listen to your vet, just giving my experience about ear cleaners.
