        Hi everyone!

I’m Sophie.  I live with my boyfriend and my two fur babies (bunnies) named Bailey and Lola.  I was told that Bailey is a Flemish Giant, but she only weighs 8 lbs, which is a little smaller than Flemish Giants are supposed to be.  She is a rescue bun.  She was supposed to be a meat rabbit, but she was the runt of her litter, wasn’t getting enough food, had several health issues that the owners weren’t addressing, was being picked on by the other bunnies in her litter, had inadequate housing (she was sharing a 2×2 space with two other buns with no exercise time), and was just being mistreated in general.  I have a friend who, at the time, worked near where these rabbits were being raised.  She told me about how she saw how bad this one rabbit was looking, and I immediately got in my car and took her away from the farm.  It was legal!  I didn’t trespass or anything.  The people raising the rabbits were just going to kill her and throw her body away anyway, so they let me take her for free.  (*Side Note: I’m getting super sad remembering how awful the conditions Bailey was in were before I adopted her.)  But once Bailey was mine, I took her to the vet.  She had several parasites, her teeth were far too overgrown, she was underweight, and she had hardly any fur on her backside.  Now, she is the healthiest she could be.  She just had a check-up with her vet who said that she is in excellent shape.  She has plenty of food, toys, water, and space to run around.  She is also an expert at begging.  I have so much trouble saying no to her when she wants a treat!  She loves kale, raisins, and banana!

Lola is the new addition to our little family.  I have only had her for a month, so she is still warming up to me.  She has also not been spayed yet (it’s happening on Wednesday), so she’s been a little aggressive.  I took her in from a friend of a friend who couldn’t take care of her anymore.  I don’t know the whole story, but I think this person’s horse was very sick and the vet bills were making it very hard for her to afford a rabbit as well.  Anyway, Lola is a Holland Lop who was also the runt of her litter.  She currently has a blocked tear duct, but is in great shape otherwise.  It’s also her birthday today!  I’m looking forward to having her spayed and getting her recovered so I can start the bonding process.  I know it will be quite the challenge bonding two females, but they got along fairly well the first time they met.

If it were up to me, I would have even more bunnies.  Unfortunately, the boyfriend is not so crazy about that idea…

I would love to upload more, but nothing happens when I try to compress them on my computer. The file sizes are all too big. I’ll do some googling, but if you have advice on how to do that that would be great!

Oh, wait! I figured it out! I’ll upload them now!
