It has been a while since I have been on here but I know you guys would know what to do! My bun (1.5 yr female spayed) is acting very aggressively and territorial. We recently saved three baby bunnies in a bad situation and are fostering them until the hrs can get them in their system. They are on opposite ends if the house. However, one of the babies jumped out of its box it was dropped off in and ran to eat my bunny’s food! Enzo was not pleased with this and tried mounting, then attacking her. Luckily, they were separated in time. Now enzo seems so freaked out. It is like every move I make she wants to chase my step and grunts super loud! When I went to work she “marked” my while room, even my bed! When I tried to sweep, she was attacking the broom. (sometimes she does this in a funny way, but this time was different) it was so bad I had to put her in the bathroom so I can sweep because her grunts were just too loud and she seemed too stressed. It is driving me crazy that I am so rewarded with being able to help save lives, but at the cost of my bunny’s peace of mind. It’s like I would have to get undressed before entering my room so she won’t smell any if the babies on me. I am also afraid to let her out if my room because I don’t want her attacking the pen downstairs. She is usually free range so it sucks that she is just cooped in my room. That initial introduction was bad since this baby bunny just invaded her space innocently. What can I do for her to have peace of mind and not think she is going to lose me or feel threatened. Thanks

Good for you for saving those bunnies, it must be very rewarding!

I don’t know if there’s much you can do to make her feel better really. :/

You say she’s usually free range but now she’s in your room?
I would think its likely that that’s why she’s upset.

Hopefully someone else can help some more! Good luck

We’ll she is usually in my room 90% of the day anyway. Even if I leave the door open, she won’t leave lol. I think it is the scent! She smells it on my shoes and wants to attack them every time I make a move. It’s like she thinks the bunnies are making a quick move and realizes it is me and doesn’t attack! I guess I have to use separate brooms for sweeping and probably do a vinegar wash on my floor? Wouldn’t my room smell?! Lol

Not sure if this will work but you can try putting something smelly (but non-toxic) on her nose like vinegar to somewhat mask the smell of the other rabbits. Back many years ago we found a sick baby wild rabbit and were able to introduce it to one of our rabbits that had just lost a litter. The mom took care of it as if it were her own.
Not saying you should try and get the bunnies together, but maybe the smell-masking might help with some of the aggression. Worth a shot?
