He probably doesn’t want you to pick him up either, so you should avoid doing that unless really necessary, like for grooming purposes. Perhaps he was startled and was acting defensively? Can you explain your games of tag to us?

I agree with manic – sounds like he knew you wanted to pick him up and he didn’t want you too. My boy has acted the same way when I have to pick him up, so I only pick him up now if I HAVE to. We have a much better, trusting relationship since I stopped picking him up. And when I do, Henry will snub me for days, even weeks after. Maybe something for you to consider? Cheers.

Well I chase him and he runs away binkying and twitching his head like he always does and then I left for little whil (because I was getting cold) and I watched him from outside are window because we have a sun-room and then I came back in and he scratched at my leg and bite at my pant and weaved through my legs and jumping up and down and chasing my hand ( maybe he was wanting to nudge to tell me to chase him) and then he ran away looked back kinda like he wanted me to chase him and then came back and started repeating and be fore ALL of this somone came in the room ( my mom she is a little loud because she thinks i am to over protective so she trys being really loud to bother me and it scares the tar out of my rabbit)and he got a little scared got low to the ground got bugged eyes to but he has never thumped before so really not sure if he was scared or not. And he has NEVER bit me EVER!!!!!! well once a little nip because he never wanted to be picked up. I try avoiding picking him up when he is playing and stay out and play with him as long as i can. but when i get him out I grab him from the front and pick him up he does not mind I think he likes it because he closes his eyes please reply thanks

Sounds like he was playing and having a good time, nipping at fabric is often a way to get your attention… Even a month after neuter his hormones could still be a little mixed up it can take up to 6 weeks….

BTW Jumping in the air and kicking their feet out is called a binky, it’s usually a sign of happiness and joy in a rabbit.

Was he grunting, stomping or lunging ? Then yes he probably was trying to bite if not his intentions may have been to lick (like my Starsky who chases my hand for that purpose) or if a bit hormonal to hump… (Starsky use to do that too before the neuter finally took full effect)

Sounds like a happy, teenaged rabbit that just has too much energy. Let him burn it off, or if he likes chasing things, get a fishing pole and attach a willow ball or other safe toy to the line so you can reel it in and cast it out for him to chase. As for being picked up most rabbits dislike that but getting lower to the floor helps it not be as scary for them.

Don’t worry so much sweety! I’m sure he loves you and he trusts you! He just doesn’t like being picked up that’s all! Bunnies can get angry, they’re allowed to get angry from time to time. Just as I’m allowed to be angry at Frodo when he does another pee where he’s not supposed to! (hehe, driving me crazy!).
