One of our holland lops has recently (past 2 weeks) began digging in their two litter trays, to the point where he throws the litter and hay all across the bottom of the NIC cage. We have no idea why he is doing this but it is becoming quite frustrating having to sort it out three or more times a day. Around the same time he has also started incessantly humping our other bunny, and three days ago began thumping at me whenever I stroke the other other bunny. Any ideas as to what is going on?

My holland lop also did this, is the bunny neutered? if not I would start with that because it sounds like puberty depending on age. Also bunnies love to dig some more than others. When Caleb started doing this we got him a teddy bear so he could hump something but not bother anything else.

Also binkybunny has a litterbox with a screen which quickly stopped Caleb from digging. It worked and we haven’t had a problem since. at first we tried to give him a dig box which he did dig in but also kept digging in his litterbox. I know how annoying it can be but this is how I fixed it.

Hi, yes he is neutered. We love in the uk so can’t order off the website but will have a look around to see if I can find something similar. Thanks for the advice!
