Stanley’s now 4 months old. His pee smells veryyyy nasty and he’s been licking his urine after.

Sometimes I see him eating his regular feces. I know they eat the night feces but these are the regular ones.

Just wondering if it’s okay that it smells so bad and curious about eating the feces and licking the urine.

        thanks!

That’s odd! The cecals however aren’t always taken at night. They can chew those throughout the day and night. The licking of his urine though… I have no idea! Has he been neutered yet?

Here’s an older thread on the subject of licking urine:

While it’s weird, it doesn’t seem to be anything to worry about and seems more common in un-neutered buns.

I’d say he’s attracted to his own pee because of the hormones in it. Also the reason for it be it becoming more pungent.

I’ve seen my rabbits eat some of their fecal poop sometimes too. Is he a good hay eater?
He might be doing territorial poos also. They smell a bit and perhaps he’s liking the smell of that a bit too much also? Lol

I wouldn’t worry too much. He probably being being a crazy teenager. If he’s eating all his fecal dropping though, that’s a bit excessive.
