Around two weeks ago Pascal decided to start digging the litter box like mad! He sends litter flying everywhere- it doesn’t matter if it’s clean litter after a change or used litter, he’s digging it!
They have a digging box which Patsy likes, but Pascal isn’t too fussed over. I’m going to get new things to try to entice Pascal to use the dig box and see if that helps.
The trouble is: both buns are so well litter trained that they sit in the now empty tray to go to the toilet and so I’m worried they’ll get urine scald.
The litter screen on this site won’t ship to the UK and I was recommended the one on busy bunny but it works out as nearly £50! Does anyone have a suggestion where I can get something similar in the UK or one I can make at home? Patsy is a chewer so it would need to be Pasty-proof too!

What if you changed the litter? Like try a different type? I had had this problem and once I switched litter she stopped. Rarely will she dig in her litter box. Rarely as in twice the past 2 years.

You can make a litter screen very easily at home. Cut a piece of mesh to the size of your litterbox, snip off any sharp edges, then cover all the edges in duct tape or something similar (as long as your bunny wont chew the tape.)

Ok, we are going to switch to a paper litter (ATM they have the paper pellets which must be satisfying to fling!)
I’m putting whole kitchen rolls into the dig box too because that might be quite exciting for Pascal to shred (I’m concerned using phone books since I kdont know what ink has been used)

I looked into making a guard of my own and have come across what may be my solution! I have ordered two mesh laundry bags and I’m going to see if filling the bag with most of the litter, then scattering a bit on top as well as hay will help to solve it – I don’t mind the digging but they’re ending up so wet on their feet I’m really worried!
I’ll see if it worlds and then order more so I can swap them over to clean them.
Fingers crossed it works! I’ll keep you posted!

Make sure to keep a close eye that your bun is not chewing the mesh.
