Holly had her first check-up today and received a clean bill of health! I really love my vet, he’s so fantastic with animals.  I had Holly running around on the floor and he came in and sat down and she jumped right in his lap, it was so adorable! I also scheduled her spay for May 6th, and I’m already nervous. haha Luckily, I trust my vet and I know he sees lots of rabbits, so that makes me a little more comfortable. I was also surprised they said it will only cost $160. Being in Philadelphia, I assumed the price would be higher for being in city.

One thing that surprised me was how shocked the vet’s office was with how friendly/ outgoing and healthy Holly is. They said that most of the bunnies that come in aren’t in as good health and are obviously not socialized. It’s kind of depressing that that seems like the trend they see her. I showed the vet a picture of Holly’s cage and pen and he said “wow, thats huge!”. I was actually thinking it could be a little bigger… It makes me sad thinking about the rabbit owners they usually see.

Congratulations Katie on Holly’s clean bill of health! And I agree, how sad most of the bun’s they see aren’t up to the Holly standard. Told you Holly was lucky that you chose to be her mum! Good for you, booking in her spay already – how awesome are you! Your the best Katie – Cheers.
