        Hello!

So, I STILL haven’t made the new bunny cage that I have been planning on making for months but I think I will start soon. My plan is to make a cage on wheels out of nic cubes. It wont look like a condo with levels but more like an x-pen type set up that is longer in length instead of height. So anyways, I want the flooring to be wood which will be covered with linoleum or something of the sort. My question is: what kind of wood is safe for rabbits (I know it has to be untreated), and also will it absorb pee even with the linoleum on top? I know my naughty bunny will inevitably pee on the floor, and that would be very hard to clean off wood!

I would use untreated pine (while pine is bad in shaving form, it is fine as a hard wood) and then cover it like linoleum like you said. Budget bunny on YouTube did just that in her rabbit condos. Sorry I can’t post a link, I am on my iPhone.

Urine always makes it’s way onto wood no matter how hard you try to avoid it. If you find a way to avoid it you get a gold star!
