        Hello,

so I took my bun to the vet because she was peeing outside her liter box and pee running down her legs..

she has a bladder infection… The Vet also gave me a probiotic to give her in-between for her stomach.

she just took both meds today. Her poop is really soft… not diarrhea just super soft. I’m guessing its from the

probiotic. Should I be worried? Has anyone else ever treated a UTI and also giving probiotics? anyone have the

same out come?  should I go back to the vet?

        Thanks!

No need to worry – if the antibiotic is rabbit safe then their is potentially no problem for stomach upset or killing good gut flora which is why it is rabbit safe.

I’ve treated numerous UTI’s and used probiotics as well – don’t always use probiotics – no proof it helps but it doesn’t hurt to use it.

          What is the antibiotic?

The Antibiotics is “Baytril” a liquid a give to her in her mouth.

Have you experienced softer poops because of it? She is eating a drinking normal. Her pills are smaller, the other kind are softer. No diarrhea tho.

<3 Thanks!! I think she already feels much better!

Baytril is rabbit safe. It’s been awhile since I’ve used baytril but I can see softer poops being a possible side effect but not a big concern.
