My bunny has access to my bedroom all day and just sits under the bed. I know he is probably bored and he bs tarted chewing my walls. Whenever I give him any toys he is never entertained or impressed by them and barely even looks at them. I have given him cardboard boxes, huts, toilet paper rolls filled with various things, balls, wood blocks, flip and toss toys, store bought toys, etc… He never wants to play with anything except old magazines or my homework but I know the Ink from the magazines must not be good. What can I do for him

If he like magazines, have you tried old phone books? Most of those use soy based ink…

I have thought about that but I can’t find any around my house and I have no idea where to get them… Can they be bought in a store?

Check with businesses and libraries to see if they have old phone books you can have. Also, if you call your phone company (if you have a land-line) and tell them you need a replacement phone book, most will send one out to you free.

Another option is to go to an oriental market and buy a package of rice paper, make bunny sized books by cutting it, punching with a hole punch and lacing it together with long grass or strips of blackberry vines – edible, safe and, bunny still thinks it’s paper.

Keep in mind that rabbits are crepuscular and are most active around dawn and dusk. Sleeping for the entire day is totally normal!

Phone books are also a great idea. You could ask friends or relatives if they have any – most people don’t use them much anymore and might not mind giving you one.

For entertainment, my rabbit likes the show, “Real Housebuns of New Jersey”… LOL! :o)

But seriously, the phone book sounds like a good option! It’s a relic I know, but the library is a good place to check. We still get a phone book delivered each year, and literally the day it comes, the covers get torn off and it goes in the bunny pen.

Does he have space beyond your bedroom for exercise when you’re home? They do acclimate to their space so exercise time is less interesting if they ALWAYS have access to that area.
