I got my first bunny a couple weeks ago. The person who had her was the second owner and didn’t know if she had been spayed or not. She is 18 months old. We have an appointment to see if she is spayed or not and to get it done if not at the end of the month. I was told that she used the litter box ok but had a tendency to pee in corners when out of her cage (which was super tiny). When we got her home she immediately ran around the room pooping and peed in all the corners. She still runs around pooping when I let her out of her cage (we built her a much bigger palace). That usually stops before too long but she also has started peeing as she runs around the room and sometimes when she is just laying beside me on the floor. This doesn’t always stop and sometimes she does it until she is back in her cage.  Can I get her to stop before she is spayed (if she isn’t already) or should I wait til after her appointment? I also have two dogs that are allowed in the room when she is in her cage since she is in the living room. They are outside or in their room when she is out of her cage.

Is she peeing continuously as she runs around? Like it’s dribbling? Or is she just spraying?

My first thought was maybe a UTI, but I’m basing that off of your description. Otherwise, it is likely territorial marking and that won’t get better until after she’s spayed.

How do I tell the difference?

Without knowing everything, I would say to watch out for urine on her legs and trails like look like someone dribbled water along the floor. You are already taking her to the vet, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it until then.
