Gandalf just ate a rubber band. I managed to pull half of it out of his mouth but the other half got chewed up and swallowed. It’s 10 pm, there’s not a vet I can take him to tonight, is he going to be okay??? What should I do?? Help please!!!

Lots of hay, water and watch his poops. He will probably be fine, my rabbit has eaten the buttons of my control which are rubber. o.O

Yep! My boy has eaten worse – as Stickerbunny said, as long as Gandalf eats, drinks and poops, I’d say he will be ok too. My Henry is still alive (though he shouldn’t be – naughty bunny!). Take care.

Monitor his poops and behavior and load up on the hay! I’m thinking he should be okay though (given all of our bunnies have probably eaten things they shouldn’t have), but better be safe than sorry. Keep an extra eye on him.

Like the others said, just offer lots of hay and wet greens. Monitor poops. Try not to worry too much. My Bindi ate a rubber band once, the whole thing and he was fine. Just keep a close eye on the situation.

Just ditto-ing everyone, keep an eye on him. Let us know how he’s doing today when you get a chance…

Rabbits will eat strange things. I’ve had mine eat all sorts of odd items form buttons to pellets for a pellet riffle (grand kids were showing me one they got for Christmas and, spilled the pellets at my house. I thought I got them all swept up but, a few days later Sassy had 2 red dots in her droppings.) Sylver once ate paper clip and he was fine.

And don’t beat yourself up either no one is 100% perfect 100% of the time at rabbit proofing.
