Well I’m new to posting here but I’ve read my fair share of posts and need some help with bonding my teenage male and female rabbits.

Yes they are both neutered and we waited a good time to introduce them. At first we put them in my parent’s bathtub and they fought at first but after several bonding dates they stopped and Dexter (my male) started to hump Penny and she lets it happen for a little but now she’s gotten tired of it so everytime he comes up to her, even though he’s stopped humping, she runs away. It’s not bad, though because when she runs away from him she’ll binky or hop up on my bed and ask to be pet so it’s not like she’s running for her life but she runs away almost everytime he runs up to her. They’ve groomed each other many times and eat together, too. I just want to know if she’ll ever stop being afraid of him.

        Thanks.

It sounds like you’re off to a really good start, actually. Just give them more time and more bonding sessions and they will get used to each other.

FWIW, my male often runs away from my female because she has a history of humping or nipping at him. They still have a good relationship, but he’s careful to give her space.
