Breeze litter box?

My bunnies are almost bonded so I decided now would be a good time to look for a new litter box. My mom told me about This one here

You put the pellets on top & when they pee, it goes down into the bottom tray to a pee pad that you change out once a week. But I’m not sure about the pellets it uses? Does anyone know if they’re safe? It just says absorbing litter pellets. If they aren’t safe, I’d probably just continue to use pine pellets but in that case, since the pine pellets turn to dust when wet, I suppose I wouldn’t see a use in this litter box & will just keep looking for a different one.

I wouldn’t get the costly box right away. I’d check what that litter is made of since it sounds like you have to use that specific litter, then if it seems okay, get a package and see if your rabbits are okay with the litter that box has to use. It may not be suitable for rabbits.

Rabbit pee to poop ratio is extremely different from cat pee to poop ratio. That box is designed with the idea that you can just scoop the occasional poop, which works for cats, since the pee frequently but only poop once or twice a day or less. Scooping bunny poop would be insane though, since they poop around 100 times a day.

I actually bought this litter box to use with my bun but didn’t use the crystals or pee pads, I just used a very thin layer of pine pellets in the drawer. It was just okay. I liked that it kept the hay off the pee for the most part, but it was difficult to clean, as the grate was a little bit too big and bunny poops tended to get stuck in it. I like my giant cat box with a litter screen from BinkyBunny store better

Just wanted to add that I originally bought this because my bunny was super picky about what he stood on while he peed and he didn’t mind the grate of this box at all.
