        I may be a little oversensitive to my bun’s behaviour because I can get paranoid, but I took a video of her making these sounds.

        I was wondering if this is just normal behaviour or if I should get it checked out. The noises she makes are usually when she is excited about something, but they haven’t been happening much until recently. Sometimes she will make the noises when I’m patting her, or just as she’s hopping around.

        Have a listen and tell me what you think;

          I had a listen, and I can hear it (thanks to headphones!)
          I must say, I’m not sure about this noise, I haven’t had any experience with it, maybe someone else can be more helpful…

          To me, it doesn’t sound like purring. I have never heard a grunt, so maybe it’s that?

          Just another thought; it sounds sightly wet somehow, she doesn’t have a wet nose or sneeze or anything does she?

            It is pretty quiet, I wasn’t sure how to turn the volume up

            Maybe it is that, this is my first rabbit so I’m a little inexperienced.

            There seems to be no wetness or discharge from the nose, everything seems perfectly normal! I wonder if it is just a playful noise

                  Did you buy the rabbit with the horn option installed?

                  Just kidding, normally it’s because they’re happy to see you, or if they’re running around you in a circle, they’re very “happy” to see you. I really think there’s nothing to worry about.

                      I think they say you have to laugh 8 times a day to be healthy. I get that each day just from BB

                        Bandit did that when we brought Minnie home. I initially thought I was imagining things because it was so quiet. He’d hop around honking and just hanging out. I haven’t heard it in a while but your video made me smile remembering.

                          Aw I’m so glad it’s a normal noise! I feel so relieved now She has been doing it a LOT lately so that’s why I was worried!

                            Porky honks softly when he is happy and excited.
