I have a 4 year old spayed bunny (was spayed at 5 months old) who has started to hump my husband (only) on a regular basis now.  I know she has done this to him every now and then out of excitement when he was giving her pellets, but this is every night now when she is out playing.  Is it normal for some bunnies to do this?

        Thanks in advance!

Sometimes if there is a change in environment, bunnies feel the need to ‘re establish their dominance. Has your husband gotten a new pair of slippers recently? Sometimes they also just find an object that is particularly fun to hump.

Hmm, I don’t really know. Does she have a stuffed animal or something you can redirect her to?

Strange….Bindi has recently started doing the same thing. He’s been neutered since under a year and he’s now almost 7. Just last night he kept coming over to my arm and started the “buzzing” and then trying to hump my arm. I had to redirect him to a pillow. Never did this before, only the occasional excited cookie bag humping.
