I’m not sure which I am more excited over???? Picking Henry up? Or posting a picture? YAY! Both need to be celebrated! (sorry about the way I am holding Henry – I was so stunned that he let me and all the while I am screaming quietly “quick, take a picture”! Lol!). Trimming nails????? that was the last thing on my mind Manic! ha ha hah (maybe next time?) as Kbana said – if only you could have seen MY face! I can describe it – two big cirlcle’s for eyes and an even bigger one for my mouth! Gotta laugh! (at me).

I know bam, he is all feet! Lol! (it doesn’t help the way I am holding him – poor bunny), but it was a one off. I know this doesn’t excite everyone (sorry guys), but it was ‘exciting’ for me! ha ha ha….. and by the way, Henry didn’t let me approach him for 2 days after I picked him up – so I have to make the most of it (who’s knows when he will let me again???). Thank goodness for photo memories – I will treasure this one!

Thanks everyone! (and yes Sarita and LBJ – if someone held me with my foot shoved in my face I would look pissed too! Ha ha ha…).
Just thought I would go to the extreme and shame myself even more with how bunny ignorant I was till I became a BBer. When younger son said “I’m doing it! I’m getting you a bunny” – my response???? “Make sure it’s the one with the floppy ears“! Lol! Who knew what amazing bunny breeds were available? Not me…. I only worked out he was a lop when I met you guys. Shame! but funny! His colour? Not sure if it has name (was counting on you guys to tell me????) Lol! His ends are grey with his body being mostly a dark tan colour – love it! Thanks for adoring my Henry too!

Um…. no – it seems to be greyish on the outside of his body, eg., his feet, tail, ears and head – and his body is a brown? Besides wanting a bunny with ‘floppy ear’s’ (LOL!), I also wanted one that was anything other than black & white or white, cause I wanted something different to my dog’s. (How silly!). But I also stated “I want a well behaved bunny”! He didn’t come through with that…. ha ha ha ha!

Edit/ADD – Hey, everyone is saying Henry is big – is that cause no one has really seen him before? or is he BIG for a lop? Not that it matter’s, I am just curious????? Cheers!

How much does he weigh? He doesn’t look big for a “lop” necessarily. I guess it would depend on what kind of a lop you thought was in there. You know, Holland or Mini or French or ???

My son was told upon purchase from the breeder on a farm (6 hour round trip from where we live) he is a ‘mini’. How terrible, he/I had no idea, (cause I didn’t know any better?). I just wanted a bunny with floppy ear’s???? and for him to pick a brown one. At the time, I ‘thought’ he was doing well? (and he did!) But now… I know better! My son paid $130 for him as a 9 week old baby. Because I don’t search/look at bunny’s for sale, I still have no idea if that was even a reasonable price? I’m sure everyone reading this will be horrified (and I don’t blame you), but I promise you – Henry is the most happy, spoiltest bunny ever (especially since I met you guys – thank you!). I even gave ‘him’ 3 dog’s as his pet’s! HUH? (I’m convinced he thinks the dog’s ‘belong’ to him!) Ha ha hah…..
His weight? I don’t have scales – but he was neutered in September (my birthday present – gee, I’m getting ripped off with this bunny lol!) and he was 2kg’s at the time. I tried to post another picture, but I can’t – it keeps saying ‘error’ as try to upload? But will try again later….. Cheers!

2 kg is still a mini lop. The ideal weight of an adult male mini lop is 1,9 kg. But size varies, the ideal is only important in rabbit-shows. A non-mini lop could be like 3,5-10 kg =) 130 aussie dollars is towards the expensive end but not by much, it’s about the same in Sweden if you buy a pure-breed from a good breeder. In pet-shops they’re a little less expensive, sometimes you get the bunny for free if you buy a cage – but that’s of course because cages are crazy over-priced. Then there are plenty of kids who breeds various crosses as a hobby, and those bunnies would cost like 50 Aussie dollars.

I think Henry is beautiful. There’s no doubt in my mind that he has the greatest bunny-life and family ever.

Lulu is a holland lop and weighs about 5 pounds…I apologize for not knowing the conversion factor on that:/ but she looks alittle bigger than Henry from that picture, but his feet are ginormous! Lol love it! He is quite the handsome boy

I don’t know how much $130 is in Australian dollars. Where I live, you can get a bunny at a pet store for $30-$40 US. I haven’t looked at breeders, but I’m told they can charge anywhere between $60-$100 depending on the breed and whatnot.

The coloring is a tort.    A torte of some sort.   There are 2 torte colors   I only remember one tho  a blue torte.  The other I don’t remember.   It does by the shading on the ears  n rump        it doesn’t go  by the brown color    HEs neat

I’m glad the Revolution worked for Henry, although his condition didn’t seem very alarming. Bam had a bad case of those mites, it was very uncomfy for him. It may have been the reason why they put him out into the woods in the first place, although the baby-rabbit that was found with him had no mites.

They’ve never come back though, hopefully that will be the case with Henry as well!

That’s it Kate!!!!! The picture is exactly how Henry looked as a baby and he has the same colouring now. Yep – brown on his body and greyish on his ears, face, feet and tail! So Blue Tort – that sounds so cool! Oh gosh Kate – looking at that adorable picture, I just fell in love with Henry all over again (& I can’t remember him looking SO small), lol!

Andi! Bumpy is black tort, and he looks grey colored most of the time. Right after a shedding, in whatever area he’s losing hair in at the time is exposed, his new growth will be black. For a good while I believed he was a blue tort, because I just never saw the black.  Judging by Henry’s ears, I’d guess blue tort too.

Ah yes…. my wicker cane bed (that Henry sleeps under), is not just the headboard but the whole surrounding base as well, eeek!) I reckon Henry won’t be passing from natural causes – the bed is going to collapse and squash him! What do you think wakes me at 4 in the morning? Munch munch munch right under my sleeping head, dam bunny!
I have always LOVED cane and it has taken me 20 years to collect the very few pieces I have. The chair and chest are located in the lounge room (the room we don’t use) and is boarded up so Henry can’t access it. The bed, I couldn’t do much about. Who knew I’d be sharing my bed with a bunny? I thought is was to share with the hubby (and he doesn’t eat it!) ha ha ha….. Pleased Henry enjoys my bed as much as I do! HUH? Bloody bunny!

Ha ha ha MB! Hubby isn’t fussed on the bed (he’s a timber bed man, lol!), though he often ‘reminds’ me of how much it cost $$$$! We don’t allow it – but what can you do? I figure a bed can be replaced (not sure about this one though – tear rolling down my cheek), Henry can’t (or can he????? Mmmmm…… ha ha!). That’s why my other two pieces are safely stored away (for the next 10 years +), actually, what tha?????? Have I said this before? Bloody bunny!

PS – my hubby is no saint! It’s just that the RABBIT! won ‘AGAIN’…….. (shaking my head).
