I spent the morning gathering needed supplies and am now in the middle of zip tying all sorts of cubes together.  With any luck, Bandit and Minerva will be the proud residents of a brand-new condo this afternoon.  5x3x3, maybe 4 high if needed.  I’ll post pictures as I get rolling and make more than just big rectangles out of wire cubes.

Bandit and Minerva spent the night in their new home last night and seemed to enjoy it pretty well.  There were some poops on the ground floor near the food and litterbox, but nothing they don’t do in their other cage.  I still need to add some supports for the platforms just to give it some extra stability, and will constantly be playing with what toys, hidey boxes, etc. are needed.

                  Very nice!

My only suggestion would be to make the top level 1 grid higher and add a roof. A rabbit can jump/climb over a single (or even two grids) pretty easily and if they do that off the top level they could really hurt themselves.

I was about to suggest what MD said Looks nice otherwise. My rabbits have jumped a 3-4 ft X-pen no problem ><

Thanks, everyone! I was definitely considering adding another level of cubes to the top but ran out of cubes with small openings. I got a couple of boxes for Christmas, but they were from Target and had mostly large-squared ones so I didn’t want to risk the bunnies getting their heads stuck. I’ll see what I can rig up this evening.

I used those target grids. I used the large hole ones for support under the shelves.

The rest I just have in the closet. They have some on amazon that are all small grids for cheaper.

Meijer sells the regular grids here. $24.99 per box of 23.

Never heard of that company, but I would get those if you need more : P I ended up using more grids to bunny proof, so you never know.

That looks great! I’ll be looking to downsize Bumpy’s penned in area in a few months. Hubby’s logic: he’s out most of the time anyway. I don’t agree, I think he’s locked away TOO MUCH!! -sigh-

So yea… downsizing… but, I think I might use some of the ideas here to expand more upwards, so he still has at least the same square footage. I really like the size of this enclosure!
