So, Honey  has started digging at the carpet, not really a huge problem as we just shout and she stops, but we rent, thus it isn’t our carpet.
I read something about a diggy box. Is this essentially just a cardboard box with hay and wood shavings in it?

Also, Is Newspaper safe for rabbits with the ink etc.?

A diggy box really is a container filled with a suitable material. Any container you can find that is big enough should be fine. Cardboard boxes are great for temporary or disposable solutions, but I like to use a storage box with a hole cut in for a.more permanent alternative.
You can fill it with a variety of items, including snow, fleece pieces (only if your rabbit isn’t a chewer) hay, wood shavings, paper bedding, or shredded paper.
You can only use paper/newspaper that is printed with soy ink.

Sand really isn’t safe to use because it can get in the rabbits eyes or nose and cause irritation.
You can call the newspaper company and ask if the paper is printed with soy ink.
