Just got our new bunny neutered today. (He is a little over 3 years old/ the previous owner did not have him fixed) He seems well- a little more restful
Than normal but he’s eating and doing great otherwise. I did check him out though and noticed some bleeding… Is that normal or something to be concerned about? I’m a little worried. This is out first rabbit ever so other than what the vet told me I wasn’t sure if this was normal. Thanks in advance!

Um, I haven’t heard of bleeding? But if it got bumped I spose this could happen? I’d quickly give the vet a call….. If you can/do, let us know – I’m interested. Ta missysmilea – thinking of you both.

I agree. There really shouldn’t be fresh blood coming out of the sac, but if it’s just a couple of drops you’re probably ok (well he is). The sacs may get a little swollen from all the trauma but it should really be a fairly uneventful and straightforward recovery, so definitely call the vet when you can ( Don’t know your time zone)

Did you look to see if anything got torn open? If not and if it is just a little bit of blood, I would just check on it again tomorrow to see how it looks.
