        Hello

I recently bought a new baby rabbit , its about 4 weeks old , im not really sure , i bought it because the breeder was un-qualified and ignorant , anyways , it was already eating hay and hay pellets and thats what im giving it now, but it has diarrhea , and im worried , should i give her cat replacement milk or what?

        Thank you ♥

4 weeks old is much too young to wean from the mother.

I would highly suggest you take her to a vet for her diarrhea and advice on what if anything to feed her.

            Hi, welcome
Are you sure the bun is 4 weeks old? Babies shouldn’t leave their mother until 8 weeks old.
What was wrong with the breeder?

When you say diarrhea, what do you mean? Could you describe or post a picture?
Is the poop liquid or just softer than usual? And how long has it been like this?

I have no idea about giving it milk… I’m guessing that your rabbit is older than you were told, and therefore I would say milk is a bad idea, but hopefully someone else can come and help you better!

I agree with Sarita. I would take your bunny to the vet. Get a wellness check up and fecal test done (to make sure there are no parasite issues) and consult with them on what you should be doing/the age of the rabbit.

Best of luck! Please do keep us posted.

And here is a pic of the poop comparison its poop are the 3 small ones compared with bunny’s *btw its poop today is muchhhh better than it was yesterday , i guess the breeder was already giving it veggies thats why she had some , today its a bit glossy and not completely firm but its forming to a normal one i hope*

So you have two bunnies, one is 8 months and this one is 1 month?

You shouldn’t buy a bunny less than 2 months old.

It’s good that he/she seems better but you should take it to the vet to make sure it’s okay and learn how to look after such a young bunny.

I agree. The rabbit needs to be seen by your vet for a full exam and fecal test. Please get that done as soon as possible.

I would call around and find another rabbit savvy vet in your area. Here are the HRS vet listings:
                        http://rabbit.org/vet-listings/

Rabbits need to be seen by an exotics vet that specializes in them. There is no quick solution she needs to see a rabbit savvy vet for a wellness exam and fecal test. You can’t treat an issue without knowing what’s wrong. I would get her in ASAP.

Did the vet that you did see recommend an exotic/rabbit savvy one? They can help you find one or at least communicate with one remotely.
