I’m consulting my fellow bun lovers for some advice. So as it is now, I have a single rabbit who is very happy in her habitat. She pretty much has a whole room to herself, minus a few corners. Unfortunately, this enclosure is downstairs away from everybody. Also, my mom has plans to turn this extra room into a bathroom, therefor I am thinking about moving her to my room. I kind of have limited space and i really need the cage to match the furniture and look like it belongs there, like it’s not even a rabbit cage. You know what I mean? Haha sorry, I’m not being very clear I guess. I have already looked on Binky Bunny’s photo gallery and found one I like but I don’t know if it was bought or made. I can build one if I have to. So, if you know of any websites that have these kind of cages that aren’t too terribly expensive, or has a layout and plans for making one then I’d loveeee to know I measured an area I think would work best and the measurements are 38″L, 42″H, 16″W. These are the maximum numbers, it doesn’t have to be exact, smaller is fine. So if you can help I’d love to know! Thanks in advance!

Which one did you like in the gallery? Someone might be able to tell you if it was bought or made.

Ha ha ha ha #1BunnyLover, I knew if I hung around and stalked the BB forums long enough I’d come across someone like you! Lol…
I made Henry’s house cause I too wanted it to look nice/blend into my dining room/kitchen (also I don’t have access to the fabulous bunny homes that most BBer’s have cause of where I live). I did have pictures up ages ago in my profile, but took them down due to embarrassment, ha ha hah! So I’ll try and explain my setup – BUT please keep in mind, Henry is free range 24/7 – so mine would not be ideal for an enclosed bunny. His setup is based along our back wall under a window, starting with a cabinet. We cut a doorway in the side and he uses the bottom as his private/hidey space (we had to put a tie on the front door knobs cause he worked out how to push them open – we jokingly call this his ‘backdoor’), and store everything bunny on the top shelf. We then made a rectangle timber frame with wire on the front and plywood (painted the same wall colour to blend it into the wall) on the back with both ends open, one against the cabinet with the doorway and the other end is open with a gap (his outdoor patio) and that leads into his carrier which is his toilet. So when you walk into the room, the cabinet catches your eye, the cage hides behind the dining table and blends into the wall. Shame his toilet (the carrier) sticks out the other end, but cause it contains everything, it looks neat and tidy – so no complaints from me. Till I look down – my floor is covered in hay, shredded paper and bunny fluff. Bugga!   Henry’s house may not be perfect, but hey it does the job for him and most importantly, it gives me a laugh every morning when I walk out into my dining room! Cheers.

The cage I found that I liked in the galleries is the very first pictures in the “Other Habitats” section. That would be pretty much ideal.

Thanks for the idea AndHenry! That seems like a great setup, but I’m not sure if she’d be happy going from a whole room to a smaller cage. Like you said, yours is free range 24/7 and my rabbit would only be able to get out when I’m at home (in the mornings before I go to school and then when I get home in the afternoons through the night. So that’s about 10 hours or so she’d be in her cage. You still gave me some great ideas! Thanks!

Here are some BB posts I could find about building similar types of habitats. The second one has very detailed pictures if you scroll down/go to the second page.
