How can I tell when my buns are fully bonded?

I want to make sure they are before leaving them together alone or at night.

They have established dominance, and my boy has stopped humping as much. Even when he does mount her, she never becomes aggressive. I have seen her whip around as if saying “hey! cut that out!” but she hasn’t ever bitten.

        They groom each other

        They sleep together and cuddle

they use each other’s litterbox and water bottle.

To me, they seem fully bonded and I would like to go ahead and combine their cages so that they don’t miss each other at night. I just want to get a second opinion before I take that step since I’ve never bonded buns before! (Of course, I will watch them for a while after i shut the latch, but still)

        Thank you!

I would deep clean the area you want them to be permanently. Set up their joint habitat and supervise them.When/if don’t fight for 24-48 hours then they should be alright to leave alone. This is usually the recommended way to finish up bonding.
