HI my bunny turned 6 months on december 18th . her behavior has changed alot she used to be calm cuddly and kiss alot and now she has been unsettled,digging/scratching.chewing everything . trying her hardest to get places that are blocked off . she has been growling and stomping her foot at times she doesnt laydown and let me pet her like she used to. she is also beggining to aggressively chew at her cage bars. she is always honking everytime i let her out at the moment she is circling my feet and honking non stop until i pay her attention. today she actually nipped me when i tried to pet her but then she got so happy and and started running and binkying. is this horomnal changes? she has also been pooping everywhere and peeing at times. I always let her out to play I make sure she has fresh food water and hay i talk to her everytime im in my room and greet her. the only thing thats changed is i moved my bed to the other side of the room to give her more space to run.

Definitely sounds hormonal to me! Are you going to spay her soon?

Yes I plan on getting her pay within the next few months as money is very tough for me right now. But I hope to get it done at the latest when shes a year.

Ah, no worries I was just curious. Hormonal bunnies can be pretty insufferable!

I would just try to manage the behaviors and minimize damage as best you can until she can be spayed. It’s hard to correct behaviors that are driven by hormones without removing the hormones from the equation. :/

I wish I could offer more help!

Yep, totally sounds hormonal! Females can get bossy and a little mean when they hit puberty, but most go back to being very sweet once they are spayed.

Sorry, Brittinay. Just wanted to say your bun is ADORABLE! I love her fur colour and texture!! Good luck with her in the meantime. I myself am dealing with a hormonal male.

Im a little worried on when i get her spay thought i was the same way with my dog .Hate seeing an animal be put under for surgery even though it is for the good it still scares me.
