I was feeding them unlimited oxbow youth pellets and unlimited Timothy hay and water. And clover (13 week lop bunny) has some arugula twice. Well, I ran out of the youth oxbow pellets and can’t find it anywhere close to me. So I bought adult oxbow pellets and continued the Timothy hay. Well now after reading I saw that the youth pellets were alfalfa based and the adult was Timothy based. So I got a little bit of alfalfa hay and mixed in with the Timothy so that they would get some alfalfa also. Is that correct? How much alfalfa vs. Timothy should they have at their age?. 8 week old Himalayan dwarf, 11 week holland lop and 13 week holland lop. I also want to know Joan to feed them vegetables and how much. Some resources say 1 -2 cups a day and some say just a piece or two a day as a treat. And when can I start the veggies. The breeder I got them from said I could start whenever I wanted. Thank you in advance, I just really want my bunnies to get a good start.

The adult pellets are fine you just want to keep feeding unlimited until about 6-7 months. For alfalfa I would just give them a handful or two a day depending on how much hay they eat. You can start introducing veggies at 12 weeks, one at a time, in small amounts. Usually romaine lettuce is a good starter veggie.

There is a lot of conflicting diet info out there but most of us go by the HRS recommendations. You can find more info here:
