        Super freaked out right now!

Paddington was eating and I noticed he’s bleeding a little bit on his cheek.  I picked him up to have a look and thought it looks okay, it doesn’t seem to hurt him, but I was swabbing it with some cotton wool when he freaked out and flipped out of my arms and into Luna’s house

She chased him round obviously but my boyfriend and I got in there straight away and pulled her away. She’s pulled out some of his fur but other than that she doesn’t seem to have hurt him any more.

        I’m so scared!
His cheek looks okay, more like a scratch than anything else, I’ll have a closer look later. I feel awful for not noticing she hurt him, looking back it must have been this morning, when she was going at his cage bars… . Like I said, he doesn’t seem to be in pain but that and the chasing has got me all scared.

The vet said to expect some scuffles, but still! Obviously he shouldn’t have been in her cage, I feel awful about it all.

I don’t think there’s much I can do, I just wanted to share what happened I guess.
She seemed to be being nicer to him earlier as well, it’s so sad.

How can I check he’s okay? His cheek isn’t bleeding anymore, it only bled a tiny bit.

        Anything I should do?
I haven’t got anywhere else to keep either of them. He’s got an appointment to be neutered in two weeks.

I think just checking and making sure it’s clean is enough. Don’t fret too much about it either – these things happen and Luna did not do it on purpose – it was instinct.

I agree with Sarita, just keep it clean and try to keep an eye on it As long as he’s eating and drinking, pooping and peeing and just behaving mostly normally (I say mostly, he may be feeling a bit off because of the scuffle) then he’s probably just fine.
