        Hello,

I have formerly noticed these black dots (kind of like blackheads!) on my bunny’s cheeks. Is it possible for rabbits to get zits? Or is it related to something else? Has anyone else experienced this with their rabbits?

        Thank you in advance!

That’s really strange… Have you consulted a vet about it ?

It looks like they’re on his fur and not his skin?

My dog used to get spots like that where fur would come out with a little scabby dark spot on the end due to an allergic reaction which caused sores on her skin. I would contact a vet about it and make sure nothing is going on.

I’ve never seen or heard of anything like that! Please let us know what the vet says!

My bunnies have had something like that. If it’s the same thing, the dark clump is a healed scab, so that stuff would probably be dried blood and some skin cells. I wondered about zits too in the past, but since we just went through a flea episode I now wonder if they might be old flea bite spots. I would have your buns checked for fleas in case it could be. Otherwise I’m not sure, but I’ll be interested too in what your vet says.
