ive recently moved housed and moved both my bunnies with me and they have a separate area within the house where they both get the oppourtunity sepratley to run around the house.I have a dutch dwarf of 3 years old and a netherland dwarf of 9 months old, the 9 month old was potty trained and normally only poops in a corner of her cage.

Recently she has started to jump onto the other rabbits cage at night and poop all over it without even moving a muscle and not bothered has anyone got any ideas why she does that ?

        HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting them spayed will stop it, and if your rabbits are female it’s very important for their health to spay them.

My Giant Chin, Gus, is litter trained AND neutered but he was pooping on top of Gracie’s cage when I got her. He still goes over to the Guinea pig cage and poops by it and often hops in to eat and poop more if I don’t watch him closely. He seems to eventually get it out of his system when he accepts any new addition, though I don’t know if that applies to unspayed animals. Good luck!

It’s territorial behavior which is amplified in intact/hormonal rabbits. The only way to stop it is really going to be to cut off access. I don’t think intact rabbits should have much contact because they tend stress each other out in general.

Spaying is an important thing to do for female rabbits as they have a 50-80% chance of developing uterine cancer by the age of 4.
