I woke up this morning to find diarrhea EVERYWHERE in my new bunnies pen. I am very nervous that she may be sick! Here is what it looks like:

        It is just all over!

Here is a huge one. It is hard to tell from the picture how big it was though. I don’t know how such a little rabbit could poop something that big!

Then there were these smudges everywhere.

She has been here for a little over 48 hours. She is acting completely fine. Has tons of energy and spunk. She hasn’t eaten much though. Not much pellets (if any). No hay that I know of and only a piece of romaine lettuce and dried apple. I just put some parsley, cilantro and more lettuce in her cage so lets hope she starts eating it. She has drank water.

Do you think she is sick or is it just from stress? Or could it be from an unbalanced diet. I know that my friends rabbit leaves poops like these all over her cage all the time and I think personally it was from lack of hay and veggies. Maybe she just needs a good diet? Should I take her in to the vet or wait it out and see if she gets better?

Is this the new rabbit? I would wait and see how she is – it’s not diarrhea – it’s just unformed cecals.

It may be from stress or it could be diet. I would have her teeth looked at for sure when you do get her into the vet as well.

Yes this is the new bunny.

Do you think it is unsafe to give Mocha and Lulu a stunt double from her cage? If she was sick I wouldn’t want them getting it.

I wouldn’t worry really. I think it would be fine.

Ok thanks! She is finally eating parsley, hay and drinking more water! She seems to like the farm hay better then the oxbow.
