I’ve read a lot about how bunnies poop in one corner, but mine poops in two? Alfie poops in his litterbox and on top of his toybox on the opposite side of his cage  Any way to get him to poop in one spot? (Neutering is not an option )

What is the toy box for? Can you remove that?

Litter habits may not be 100% until/unless he is neutered. Not sure why it’s “not an option” but just something to keep in mind.

I second removing the toy box and putting a litter box there. Or, block off the top of the toy box with something so he cannot get on top. My bun will have an accident in a corner and if I don’t want to put another litter box there I just cut off the corner by sticking a toy or something to round it off so it is not a straight 90 degree angle. Maybe try sticking a toy or a water bowl on the top of the box in the corner if you cannot block it off? Try to repurpose the space.

Sorry I just reread your post and realized you are asking about poops not urine. Does he sleep on the toybox? Mine will tend to poop near where he lays down as he spends a decent amount of his time when in his cage laying down. Also, very few buns will only poop in their box. It is very common for buns to leave poops here and there around their cage, Majority of them will be where the bun eats which is why you should have hay right near the box.

Dutchess is spayed and she has three litterboxes in different areas of the house. She will poo in those as well as territorial poos around the house, and her occasional ‘oopsie’ poo pile at night right before bed . . she falls asleep and wakes up and sniffs the pile, looks at me then like ‘uh oh!’ He may just be marking his toy box as his, since his toys are in it. You might try setting another litterbox on the toy box if it is a safe thing to do, or move the toy box and place a litter box there. Most bunnies are very habit forming in litter training, I tried moving one of the Dutchess’ litter boxes once . . . did not work out well XD

Sorry for the misunderstanding, its not a toybox, I worded that incorrectly. It’s a cardboard box he likes to go in and play in. Neutering isn’t an option because there is no rabbit savvy vets in my area.

What area do you live in (without getting too specific)? People might be able to help you find a vet. Unfortunately it’s not realistic to expect an intact rabbit to be litter trained. Sometimes people get lucky with intact bunnies but the majority of the time litter habits are not reliable.
