If it is made for parrots, it should be fine, just make sure there is no wire or other dangerous items. He should be fine chewing on the wood.
Does he always have acsess to hay to keep his teeth down?

He is 4 month old so started introducing leafy veg recently also! Also has cardboard boxes, toilet rolls and a soft toy in the his pen! Just wana be sure the wood word make him sick! Ist toed with string(cotton) so shouldn’t be a prob! Thanx so much!

Cotton string really wouldn’t be the best for him to eat. Could you remove the wood from the string? Or replace it with a safer string like sisal?

Parrot toys are dyed with food coloring / vegetable dyes and made of safe for bun woods. As has been said, you want to remove cotton and small metal objects such as bells first, but I shop in the bird aisle for the buns and the bun aisle for the bird, they are interchangeable mostly. Be sure to also remove oyster shells if there are any.
