Do dwarf bunnies need a salt or mineral block?

Nope, if they have the proper diet they don’t need any kind of supplement.

Nope. They typically do not need them and if you give them one they likely won’t lick it anyway.

Interesting how much pet stores say you “need”! Thanks!

Yes, don’t trust pet stores. Seriously, they don’t know anything. All they care about is money. They don’t give a care about the heath of your pet.

Yeah, I bought a salt lick as a “Just in case” item. Muffin has only ever licked it twice in his life. I will leave it there as long as it’s clean, but really, the only time I think it might be a really-really good idea is if you feed your bunny a veggies-only diet. Pellets have lots of salt and minerals in them.

Mine have one but they have never really paid much attention to it. It’s there if they need it though.

My dwarf LOVES her salt lick! I used to have the colorful circle ones but I recently got a Himalayan pink crystal one and that thing is her favorite! She’s always going to town on it.

No rabbit needs a salt lick, dwarf or otherwise. It looks like yours is a Dutch

We had a similar thread like this recently.
They don’t need salt blocks whatsoever. I don’t know when people started giving them to rabbits and why people did. The food has the amount of salt and minerals he/she needs. (:
