So, I know it’s been a while, but I still feel I should post it… A days before mother’s day, I was going to leave to pick up our new puppy, so I went upstairs and checked on everyone, they were all fine. Except Jasper. He’d hopped onto rainbow bridge. I was so upset, his age was unknown, but I had been told many times before he was old. His last few weeks were lazy, he just wanted to sleep.

I really miss him, and I’ll never forget him.

          Aww, Binky Free Jasper!
I know it’s hard, but it’s sounds like he was pretty old. He had a good life! ((((Hugs))))

He lived a great life and my family still mourns him, but at least he lived through his old age, and was spoiled for the few years I had him.

Sammie, Jasper is still with you! Every time you say “Jasper”, whether it be a story, a memory of something silly, cute, (naughty, lol) or just thinking about him cause he ‘popped’ into your head – that’s Jasper saying I’m still here – with you!

Awh, thanks! I never thought about it like that… It’s still really hard, for a while I didn’t even let the rabbits in his old area, but they live there now. Zedd&Lucy are a lot like him, only more brave, so they’re taking care of me!

I still sit outside at his grave every now and then though. It makes me feel better to reassure him that he won’t be forgotten.

Sammie, I’m sorry to just be reading about Jasper now. My condolences. You obviously gave him a loving, safe and comfortable home in the end of his life, and what a wonderful gift that is to a senior bunny. When a bunny feels so safe that he can sleep a lot, he is truly secure. He just saw it was his time to make room for a new puppy, so he crossed the bridge. Now he can send you love and watch your family – from a safe, puppy-free distance. He will always live in your heart.
