I had flower spayed on november 20th, if that helps.. I used to give her the free run of my room because our house isnt available since we have a rottweiler. I used to put up a step stool beside my bed so she could hop up there with me, if she wanted to. The other day. while christmas shopping, my mom called me, saying she had gotten out of her cage. I have no idea how that was possible because there is no way she could have gotten through one of the bigger squares in the grids of her cage. I decided to leave her cage open since i was going to the boyfriends for a couple nights, and i didnt want her to escape again and not be able to get back in. I moved the step stool away from my bed so she couldnt jump up there and omg she got up there without it! There are bunny turds on my bed, no pee though. How do i give her the run of my room without getting bunny turds on my bed??

Well at least she didn’t pee :~) Seriously though she may not be ready for free reign yet – some rabbits do need more time to mature and honesty beds and couches are just targets for rabbit poop and pee because they smell so much like their humans.

My bunny is not allowed in the bedroom. He has the free run of the apartment..except the kitchen (which is in the living/dining. I had to spend months with a water bottle..trying to keep him away. It finally works now), bathroom and our bedroom. He always makes a mad dash to the room whenever he gets a chance but we make sure the bedroom door is closed when he’s out. He tries to sneak in when the door isn’t completely closed and have managed to get in and poop on the floor (exact reason he’s not allowed in) and corners and have jumped on to the bed a few times…but nothing major. And we wanna keep it that way. So before and during he’s out (like right now), that door is tightly shut. Even when we go in and out of the bedroom, we always close it behind us before he has a chance. And believe me…that’s like his aim in life!
