Bindi’s ears are at it again.  He has all the signs of infection so my vet told me to pick up some Baytril Otic. She usually sees him first, but he’s going in Thursday for his dental so she will check his ears then. We’re both pretty confident that I know the symptoms of infection, I’ve dealt with it enough.

Can I get some ear vibes and also vibes for his Molar Trim tomorrow?

He usually makes out pretty well but a few times he’s been sore and unwilling to eat. I hate to have it done so close to the Holidays but it was the only available apt.  I didn’t want to put it off and have him start losing weight or having other problems.

I always get so nervous about him going under.

          Vibes for Bindi.

I wonder if the ear drop cocktail that my vet mixed up for Bogie might help Bindi…I’ll try to find out what it is and let you know.

So sorry you’re facing this again LPT. You and Bindi are experts at getting on top of the ear infections. I have faith you will again.

Here’s the ear cocktail my vet concocted:

Conofite/Baytril/TrizUltra+Keto – apparently it’s an antifungal, antibiotic and something to help dry out the ear if I remember correctly.

Thanks everyone. Just dropped him off. Poor guy, I think he was shocked at how cold it is out. I put a blanket in and over his carrier and heated the car up, but it’s pretty darn cold out there. I’m always so anxious for them to call and tell me he did okay. We always get per-anaesthesia bloodwork but momma still worries.

Thanks, Sarita. I will mention that to my vet if this go round of Baytril doesn’t do the trick.

Bindi made out well at the vet. He’s feeling pretty good too, ate as soon as he got home.

That’s a huge relief! I can empathize about taking the bun out in nasty cold weather.
Here’s hoping you guys can have a peaceful Christmas now. xx
