First post on here. Bun just got a hold of a mini Laffy Taffy (2″ long?), which was of course in a bunny-proofed spot. It took some planning on her part. She ate almost the whole thing, including the wrapper. Freaking out, of course. She’s had bites of bad things before but never this much. Anything I should watch out for besides stopping eating/going to the bathroom? Any chance it won’t affect her? Of course she’s off treats/fruits for the next few days and I’ll offer her as much hay as she’ll eat, but beyond paranoid at this point. Any help appreciated! She’s a 6.5 lb spayed rex.

Don’t panic… Usual advice when buns get into the sweeties… Lots of hay, plenty of water and veg, monitor poops and pee and schedule an appointment for a check up… I am sure she will be fine…

My boy loves Maccas (McDonalds) chips – ssshhhh! Don’t tell anyone! I threw one to my dog and Henry got it, doh! Not that I give them to him, but it does happen on occasion, special bunny treats like the Taffy. No, it’s not good – but it was an accident, so don’t feel bad. Do as Roberta suggested above and I’m sure your bun will be ok too. Having a little chuckle (I know I shouldn’t) how cute – a bunny eating taffy. “Naughty Bunny”! All the best ams1786. Let us know how your bun goes. Cheers.

Your bun will likely be fine. Don’t over worry. Just keep an eye to make sure everything appears to be normal.
