So, I hear that giving buns a little stuffed animal is a good thing to do, so they can cuddle with it, groom it, etc. Last valentines day I got a small puppy pillow pet, so I decided to put it in there for her to have, seeing as she would find more use out of it than I would, lol. However, I’ve noticed a couple spots where it looks as if it had been urinated on. Is this normal? She adores her pillow pet, but I’m not sure how to go about this. (She was just recently neutered about 2 weeks ago, if that helps?)

It probably is her way of marking it as hers, that she LOVES. With a 2 week old neuter, she will probably have a surge of hormones for up to 2 more weeks before it all settles down, so she may be marking him with her love because of that as well.

You could spot clean it with a mix of white vinegar and water, but that will be a repellent odor to her and might put her off her pillow entirely. If you want to wash it with water and mild baby soap (or natural unscented) just get the soap out thoroughly. She may just mark it again if you remove her scent, at least for 2 more weeks.

Just watch out for chewing if he has those tiny beads or beans as stuffing. Swallowing those through a chewed hole is really what can be a problem with toys. But if she doesn’t chew him, I’d say it’s normal, and can be cleaned a bit in 2-3 weeks from now.

Okay, thank you. C: she never chews at it, just snuggles with it. It’s adorable, ^^. I will wash it!
