My bunny suddenly stopped eating hay as he used to. Before he used to eat lots of hay, but now he only nibbles on it and eats everything else I give with gladly.

I do not give him too many pellets, just half a spoon a day.

I used to feed him hay from Vitakraft, which also has dandelion mixed in.  Then, I decided to try to give him something else. I bought hay from Verselle-laga but he just doesn’t seem to like it. Then, when I tried giving him hay from vitakraft again, I noticed he will just nibble a little on it then hop away.

Any ideas as to why he is doing that? (he is a two months old dwarf angora and is un neutered.)

          I assume it’s alfalfa hay?

May I ask why you’re only giving him a half a spoon of pellets a day? Young rabbits (until between 6-7 months) should have access to unlimited pellets!

It IS odd that he just started not eating though. Has he had a wellness check-up yet since you got him???

Yes, he did have wellness check-ups since I got him. The last one was one week ago when I went to get his nails trimmed and everything was okay.

And I had been giving him unlimited pellets until three or so days ago when he started just nibbling on the hay; I had thought it is from the pellets but it seems it isn’t. (It may sound dumb and silly, but it is the first bunny I have ever owned and here, where I live, in Romania aren’t lots of specialists to go to for help. :/)

I wouldn’t trust anyone else as much as Dr. Serdean, as I’ve already taken my bunnies to other local vets who had no clue how to properly diagnose or treat them.
Every time I had to take one of my bunnies to his clinic, he always explained with extreme patience and friendliness any treatment required or procedure options.
A wonderful place where animals are family.

This organisation may be able to direct you to bunny svvy vets in your area… Especially as they seem to be doing a lot of the training.

That’s unfortunately on the other side of my country, far away from my city which is also the capital, Bucharest. But I will do my best to find a bunny vet in it.
