i accidently dropped my bunny bentley i rushed to pick him up and he was scared and i dropped him again. im so upset i cant stop crying. he fell on his face twice so i checked his teeth and at the side it was bleeding. i tried feeding him water and giving him treats but he wont eat or drink. he is walking fine. should i put him in his cage for a while? he has stopped bleeding it was only a bit but im scared he wont be able to eat. he tried to eat a dried banana and he could barely bite it in half. im so worried will he be okay ?????

Maybe not – I would advise you to get him to a vet to check his teeth.

Please calm down, your upsetness can scare him. Do you have an exotics vet? It’s very good that he can walk. In a little while you can perhaps check his mouth and see if any of his teeth are damaged. But calm down first, take deep breaths and perhaps drink some water. It is really scary when your bunny is hurt or sick, but he needs you so you must be brave.

            Please report back!

Rabbits are pretty resilient creatures even though they are constantly thought of as being fragile. My rabbits have jumped from my arms and from very far distances and have been in initial shock from it and maybe even a tiny bit of bleeding, but have ended up fine. Have you checked to see if your rabbit has any broken teeth? I’d say monitor the situation and if conditions don’t return to normal, head to a vet to make sure everything is okay. Don’t worry too much, these things happen.
