    • I don’t want to spend the hug amount of money I would have to pay to get my female bunny spayed. She is really a great bunny. She loves every one and likes to check new things out. If I got her a girl friend say fixed or even not fixed would they get along most likely?

Most likely not. When hormones are in play things are just so unpredictable. I know it can be pricey to get your bun fixed, but females have a very high risk of uterine cancers in such a young age (2-4 years) . You would be extending her life 3 even 4 times longer than if you left her unspayed and she developed cancer.

I have to agree. The first step to successful bunny bonding is for both buns to be spay/neutered. There is no way around this.

If finances are an issue (as they are for so many people these day!) I would actually suggest that you NOT get a second bunny. You would be facing double food, litter, and habitat/supply costs, not to mention double the vet bills if they both get sick. Put the money you’d be spending on a second bunny and all the stuff she would need towards getting your existing rabbit spayed. Once the bank account is replenished, you can always revisit the idea of a second bunny in a year or two.

I totally agree with Beka I would save money to get your current rabbit spayed.

          • Okay thanks.
