        Cotton Boo McChew

We’ve been in a new place for 10 days now.  Cotton had peed in a lot of places after 4 days of having the run of the living room.  What do I do to stop him and make the carpet smell like him to  help him feel at home so he stops peeing on the carpet?   I love this little fellow and I hate to see him in the xpen all day.

I do take him to run in the yard.  He doesn’t run all that much.  I do spent time with him in his pen.  He loves to be petted. Of course I oblige him.

Any advice.  I want him to  have some freedom in the house too.

Maybe not give him too much space to run in the room just yet. The urge to mark would be overwhelming. He probably just needs more time.

You could slowly increase how much space he can go if his litter habits improve.
Don’t feel too badly about his being in a pen. Remember, it’s a safe place for him in a strange new environment.

          Are there other pets there?
