Spot has been doing so good with his litter box. He has been on a sheet, blanket, towel and has not had any accidents. Last night it was pretty cool in his room (58 degrees) so I tried putting a plush fleece cat bed in his hidey house (cardboard box) thinking he may like to snuggle into it. He jumped in and sniffed it a couple times then got out so I left it in over night to see how it went. This morning there was a pee spot right smack in the middle and a nice pile of poops right on top. I tried…..guess it is back to a folded up towel for him.

He loved it so much he had to properly mark it as his.
They do love to pee and poop on soft surfaces. I’ve vet beds for dogs for my bunnies, they are easy to wash and after several months, my buns now seem to have realized the soft beds are for snuggling, not for use as toilets.

I tried to use cat beds for my two, but it becomes a potty chair so I just leave them a blanket or towel.

58F would be a comfy temp for a bunny so not to worry.

Haha. I know. I remember feeling same way when I had just one bun. But now been thru several cool seasons to know they’re fine. Mind you, it doesn’t get too cold where I live.

I bought Bindi a pet bed, same thing. It became a fave pee spot.

It’s just so cute to see them lying on their sherpa-fleecy beds =)

MD has some awesome beds for her little posse, I think I remember having seen in her bonding-of-5-thread.

My cat posseses an open wicker basket which she would once sleep in when she was younger but generally she just sleeps anywhere now! We bought her an igloo which she prefers up to the more open bed because she feels safer but she’s an amazing shy cat. It all depends what your cat is like! However, you buy them all these beds and they end up sleeping in a cardboard box or at the end of your bed or on the floor etc! If you have one I’d probably suggest an igloo-style one (which has a roof) as they quite simply feel safer however this will depend whether your cat could be the shy or confident type. Probably keep with just what you (together with your cat) knows best though. =)
