So I decided to get more grids to block off the area in the living room where my boyfriend hoards his cords for all this gaming systems. I also gated off the space to get to the desktop in the kitchen area. As a result, this gives Moogle double the space to play. I figured he would play in the whole space, but I am noticing he just stays where my boyfriend and I are at. Yesterday I was sick and laid on the futon all day, so Moogle was in the living room watching too cute with me. We decided to let him on the futon until he shows signs of being naughty (lifting the tail to pee). I really like him being able to come up there onto a level that makes my joints hurt less (Yes, I am 23 and I already have joint pain…)

The only problem we are having is that he can move the NIC grids. He just picks them up and tosses them whichever direction he needs to get by. Do you have any suggestions for securing them so that they can’t be pushed? We have tried tying them with shoe laces, and I’m out of zip ties. We also need it to be removable because it goes in front of the area we go to leave the house. (He tries to dig at the door and tear up carpet in a corner next to it). I though about zip tying most of it and leaving a part that has a hinge like thing.

What about “key clips”? Searching the term on Google images brings up a bunch of different styles. I’ve also had someone suggest binder clips to me. For securing things to my girl’s cage, I use tweed. It’s safe to chew though, so depending on how much your bun likes it, you may have to replace it often to ensure that everything stays secure. Buying a ball of it should last longer and be cheaper (in the long run) than shoe laces though.
