So recently midnight has been having some difficulty with his bladder. Usually midnight uses his litterbox religiously.. Even when I take him over my friend’s house (fellow bunny owner) he uses her litterbox. But a few days ago I notched that midnight would pee in random places if he sat there for more than a few seconds. I called the vet and he told me that midnight may just be marking his territory as he is not neutered and is getting to that age. Well he kept doing and he peed on the couch which really frustrated me. I noticed that his butt was wet with urine (I’m assuming). He still uses his litterbox but he is always wet. His litterbox always seems to be soaking wet as well. Midnight is still very active and eating a lot and still follows me everywhere but I’m a little worried. I can’t take him to the vet for at least a week

The only thing that I can think of that may have made him I’ll is about a week ago I fed him a lot of kale everyday. I had a lot leftover so I figured he’d like it. And I recently started feeding him more hay than pellets. Do you think his change in diet may have something to do with this?

Lastly, is there anything I can do to make him feel better until his vet appointment?

I doubt kale is the culprit.

As for the couch – this is very typical in neutered or unneutered rabbits as it smells very much like their “humans” and is soft – keep him off the couch…that’s the only solution for this.

How often are you changing the litterbox and what type of litter do you use?

Since he’s been wet I changed the litter everyday.. I use a blend of aspen bedding and care fresh litter.. I just like the smell of the aspen

But today actually he seems to be completely fine.. He’s dry, way more active. He’s back to lounging around (before he would sit hunched over), he’s doing laps around the living room. And his litter box is a lot drier. I’m still going to take him to the vet just to be sure though

It sounds like your doing everything right!. I’m hoping your vet trip goes well and you find out what, if anything, is wrong.

Welcome to Binkybunny by the way!! Please keep us posted on how Midnight is doing
