        HI everyone,

The other day I was playing with Rex and he was running around and binky-ing  like crazy.  He does not love being held, especially after I had to give him medicine for 10 days 2 times a day.  So I was lying on the floor and petting him especially when he would flop.  Then all of a sudden he started to lick the inside of my elbow, like he could not get enough of me, and then tried to nibble at me, and then started humping me.  I wanted my bunny to like me, but I wasn’t planning on getting that familiar LOL.  The pet store said he was born on Aug 1  so he is not even 4 months yet.  Is that too soon to be be going through puberty.  I made an appointment to get him neutered on Dec. 5.  I know that it is the best thing for him, but he is such a little guy.  Any thoughts?

They can hit bunny puberty at 3 months. It’s not uncommon.

By two months my male’s testicles had descended, so yes, it’s possible for males to go through puberty that early. Most vets will neuter by 5 or 6 months.

Both my boys “matured” right around 4 months. And luckily, our vet neutered at 4 months….because they become pee/poo monsters at puberty!
