My bunny literally just wants to eat and nothing else! I made a lot of the toys suggested on the forum and he has a abundance of boxes. I put the food in toilet paper rolls and in the boxes, but after he finishes everything he just sits there the rest of the day. I take him out in the backyard once a day for about 30 mins. He doesn’t jump around he just eats! When I am done with school sometime I let him hop around the living room, but not for long because he eats a lot of little objects on the floor and there is a lot of wires. Recently he has been escaping from his downstairs room so I think hes bored, but I don’t know what else to offer him.

He has a whole regular size room to himself and I have had him for about a month

          Welcome to BB!

How long have you had your bunny? How big is his cage? He needs time out of his cage to play and run around so I highly suggest looking into bunny proofing an area for him. My guess is you will see a lot more personality come out of him once he has more room to play and romp

My bun didn’t play with anything for the longest time. but just 2 days ago I saw him chew up a stick

so don’t worry, try other toys to, you just have to find one your rabbit likes

You can always try food oriented toys, like a treat ball. My bunny Chester is VERY food oriented and loves his

Penelope loves her hay so I bought a willow ball for her, put orchard grass inside it and manipulated the holes to be larger in different areas around the sides of the ball. When she nibbles the hay, the ball rolls away from her which forces her to chase it down. It gets her moving a bit. Good luck with your bunny

Bunnies don’t play like dogs and cats, and some don’t really play at all. I’ve only seen my boy “play” a couple times in his life. Usually he just hangs out, and occasionally digs things. He’s laid back. My other never plays, but is more likely to run around, chew on stuff, jump on things, etc.

If he’s not destroying things, he’s probably content. Lots of bunnies are very zen little critters.

The time of day could also be the issue. Bunnies are crepuscular and most active at dawn and dusk. If you’re trying to get him active in the middle of the day, that could be the problem.
